By using bythecloud photography’s photo printing services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Image Quality and Resolution
- Customers are responsible for ensuring that their images meet the necessary resolution requirements for the selected print size.
- We recommend that images have a resolution of 300 PPI (Pixels Per Inch) at the desired print size for the best quality.
- Resolution Requirements:
- 5x7 inches: 1500 x 2100 pixels
- 8x10 inches: 2400 x 3000 pixels
- 11x14 inches: 3300 x 4200 pixels
- 11x17 inches: 3300 x 5100 pixels
- 13x19 inches: 3900 x 5700 pixels
- 16x20 inches: 4800 x 6000 pixels
2. File Format
- Accepted file formats include PSD, JPEG, JPG, and PDF.
- Files must be uploaded in their highest resolution and original quality.
- We do not accept files that have been significantly compressed or altered.
3. Upscaling Option
- If the image resolution is lower than the recommended 300 PPI (Pixels Per Inch) for the selected print size, we offer an upscaling option for an additional charge.
- Please note that upscaling is a digital process, and while we will make every effort to improve the image quality, it may not be as precise as an image with the original resolution. Upscaling can result in a loss of detail, and the final print quality may not match that of a photo that meets the resolution requirements.
4. Aspect Ratio
- Aspect ratio refers to the proportional relationship between the image width and height.
- Common aspect ratios for smartphones and cameras are 4:3 and 3:2, respectively.
- Customers should ensure that the image has the correct aspect ratio for the selected print size. You can crop the image in advance or use the crop settings to check the aspect ratio.
- Note: If the image does not match the print size ratio, it will be cropped to fill the print page.
5. Printing Process and Turnaround Time
- Once your order is received, we will begin the printing process.
- Turnaround time is typically within 2 business days from the date of order.
- We will notify you in case any pick-up or rescheduling is required, should there be any delays or adjustments to the schedule.
6. Delivery and Shipping
- Currently, we do not provide any shipping options.
- Pick-up is available at 618-6378 Silver Ave.
- Please make sure to use the provided pick-up location or update us with your preferred pick-up time.
7. Returns and Refunds
- We do not accept returns or offer refunds for prints once the order has been processed.
- If there is a printing error on our part (e.g., color discrepancy, poor print quality), we will provide a replacement or issue a refund, as applicable.
- We are not responsible for customer-provided files that do not meet the specified resolution, format, or quality standards.
8. Copyright and Usage Rights
- By uploading images, you affirm that you have the necessary copyright or usage rights for the image.
- You retain full ownership of your photos. However, by submitting them for printing, you grant bythecloud photography permission to use your images solely for the purpose of processing and printing your order.
9. Customer Responsibility
- It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that their images are ready for printing, including resolution, aspect ratio, and file quality.
- We are not liable for any issues arising from the customer's failure to meet the guidelines provided.
10. Modifications
- We reserve the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and the updated terms will apply to all new orders placed after the update.
11. Taxes
- GST and PST will be incurred for physical print orders, as per applicable local tax rates.
12. Security and Encryption
- We take every measure to protect your personal information and ensure a secure transaction process.
